Why am I unable to control my fan from outside of my home wireless network, or via a smart home control service?

Symptom: Unable to control smart fan from outside the home. 

We must first confirm the status of the fans network status. Open the app, select the fan you want to control, and review the cloud icon found in the top left corner of the app. If the cloud status symbol shows a strike through, this means that the fan cannot connect to the WAC Smart Fan cloud.

Troubleshooting: 

Step 1: Check your internet connections, or power cycle the smart fan. 

Step 2: If Step 1 does not resolve the issue, we recommend repairing the fan to the WAC Smart Fan App.
