Control 4 - How to integrate the FollowMe Silo from VENTRIX

To get started, download the required drivers from the product support article:

NOTE: For VENTRIX with FollowMe fixtures, you’ll need both the WAC_Unified_Controller and WAC_Unified_Motorized direct IP drivers.

1. Add them to the Control4 driver directory. Once installed, you can easily locate them in Control4 Composer by searching for “wac.”
   
2. Add the necessary drivers to the Control4 project. 
   NOTE: One “Controller” driver is needed per VENTRIX CPU and one “Motorized” driver is needed per group of FollowMe fixtures.
   
3. Navigate to “Connections”, then to the “Network” tab
    
4. Locate the WAC_Unified_Controller will show under the IP Network category
   NOTE: All VENTRIX CPUs on the network will show up through SDDP (Simple Device Discovery Protocol) on the “Available Devices” column
   
5. Drag the CPU from Available Devices into the driver under IP Network Connections.The driver parameters will update and fill in the address and show you the “Online” status.
   
6. Navigate back to the “Control/AV” tab under Connections and select your CPU driver.The Control & Audio Video Connections section will come up with the input devices (Motorized Drivers) shown below.
   
7. Link the WAC_UNIFIED_BUS to each “Motorized” driver that will be used with that specific CPU by dragging the control output to the device. Both fields will update their “Connections” column.
   
8. Return to “System Design” and select your WAC_Unified_Controller and under the “Properties” tab, select “Ventrix” from the “Product” field, then select “Set”
   
9. Navigate to the “Actions” tab and select a few actions to ensure all information from the VENTRIX CPU is pulled into the Composer software.
   
10. Select the “WAC Unified Motorized” driver linked to your VENTRIX CPU (A) and go to the “Actions” (B) tab. Select a few actions to ensure all information from the CPU is pulled into the Composer Software.
    
11. Navigate to the “Properties” tab and select “Group Control” in the “Control Mode” field. Select “Set”
    
12. Select your “Group” from the dropdown list. Groups are listed based on their Group ID in the VENTRIX app. Select a group and select “Set”. Click “Set” and the group name will populate under the “Name” field. 
    
13. Change the Values of Zoom, Pan, and Tilt for precise control or select from the existing 4 presets and click "SET". 
    NOTE:  You can also select presets or control Pan / Tilt/ Zoom in the “Actions” tab.
    

14. Set the desired settings and your FollowMe Silo for VENTRIX can be controlled with precision.
