Low Ceilings:
In rooms with ceilings of 8 feet or less, flush mount "hugger" fans are recommended. These fans are designed to sit close to the ceiling, maintaining a low profile that maximizes space. Unlike other models, flush mount fans do not use downrods, allowing them to maintain a shorter height.
Average and High Ceilings:
For ceilings that are 9 feet or taller, ceiling fans that incorporate downrods are necessary to ensure proper placement. Downrods, which can vary in length from 3 to 72 inches, allow the fan to hang at an optimal height from the canopy, enhancing air circulation by increasing the space between the fan blades and the ceiling.
