What’s Happening?
If your fan won’t connect during setup, it’s usually because of the type of Wi-Fi network being used.
Why This Happens
Your fan only works with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, but many home networks also use 5 GHz.
If your phone is on the wrong network, the fan won’t be able to connect.
Steps to Resolve
1. Verify Your Wi-Fi Network
- Make sure your router has a 2.4 GHz network available
- If you see two Wi-Fi names, choose the one that looks like:
- “_2.4”, “_2G”, or similar
2. Connect Your Phone to 2.4 GHz
- Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings
- Select the 2.4 GHz network
- Keep your phone on this network during setup
3. Retry Device Pairing
- Restart the fan and the app
- Try the setup again
4. Optional (If Needed)
- Turn off the 5 GHz network temporarily
- Move closer to your router
Helpful Tip
After setup is complete, you can switch your phone back to your usual Wi-Fi network if needed.
