What’s Happening?

If your remote or wall control is not working with your fan, it may be due to using the wrong model.

Why This Happens

Some fan controls look nearly identical across brands, but they are not interchangeable. Each fan brand requires its own specific remote or wall control to function properly.

Steps to Resolve

1. Identify Your Fan Brand

Check the brand of your fan (Schonbek, WAC, or Modern Forms).

2. Verify You Have the Correct Control

Make sure your remote or wall control matches your fan brand:

• Schonbek Fans
  • Remote: SF-RCBT-WT
  • Wall Control: SF-WCBT-WT
• WAC Fans
  • Remote: RC20-WT
  • Wall Control: WC20-WT
• Modern Forms Fans
  • Remote: F-RCBT-WT
  • Wall Control: F-WCBT-WT

3. Replace If Necessary

• If the model numbers don’t match your fan brand, the control will not work
• Replace it with the correct compatible model

Helpful Tip

Even if controls look the same, always double-check the model number printed on the back of the remote or inside the wall control.
